Imvula Wines is inspired by the fundamental role that annual rainfall plays in sustaining life, on a similar role in the lives of those in rural communities.
This sparkling wine is an absolute delight for those with a sweeter tooth. It has a rich muscadel grape fruitiness, alleviated by the zesty bubble, but lingering on in gentle sweetness.
This vivacious light, but dry, sparkling wine, has charming dried herb and citrus tones and an exuberantly refreshing palate, expertly rounded in a completely dry aftertaste.
Produced from Chardonnay & Pinot Noir grapes, this well balanced Méthode Cap Classique is full bodied on the palate with hints of yeast and fresh green apple aromas. Lively bubbles with lingering mousse.
Imvula Wines is the result of a passion for wine and a desire to give back to the community. Founder Siyabonga Mvula attended the small-scale winemaking course at the University of Stellenbosch and quit his job to pursue his dream. The first sale of Imvula Wines was a great success and the brand is now focused on the African market with plans to become the beverage of choice for social gatherings.
Imvula Wines offers two products: a Methode Cap Classique Brut, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, with hints of yeast and fresh green apple aromas; and a gently sweet sparkling wine, with a rich Muscadel grape fruitiness softened by a zesty bubble.
What sets Imvula Wines apart is its philanthropic mission. With every bottle of wine sold, a portion of the profits are used to fund community projects, such as providing schools with better resources and learning materials. The long term vision is to open a wine tasting center that will create more jobs for the community. Imvula Wines is a 100% black owned company based in Bergville, KwaZulu Natal.
