Prisoe Winery, established by the Baltadjievi family in 2005, is a small, family-run vineyard located near the Black Sea, west of Varna, Bulgaria. Rooted in tradition and terroir, the winery emphasizes sustainable practices, meticulous vineyard management, and handcrafted winemaking. Prisoe Winery’s unique terroir, enriched by limestone and fine-grain quartz sand, lends a distinct mineral character to its wines. The family personally tends to their 4.7 hectares of vineyards, cultivating varieties like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Vrachanski Misket. Their commitment to quality is evident in their use of Bulgarian oak barrels and the careful cultivation of yeast cultures from their own vines. Producing limited series of 1,300 to 1,400 bottles per type, Prisoe Winery delivers authentic, expressive wines that reflect the warmth and uniqueness of their region. Stefan Baltadjiev, continuing his late father Rumen's legacy, ensures every bottle captures the essence of their cherished land.
